Graduates earn 1,029 degrees, certificates from SUNY at Purchase College

About 48 percent of the 1,029 degrees and certificates handed out by SUNY at Purchase College in 2017-18 were to students in visual and performing arts programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the public institution in Purchase conferred 450 bachelor's degrees and 40 master's degrees in visual and performing arts programs.

But the single most popular program was for a bachelor's degree in general studies, liberal arts and sciences, and other humanities. Data shows the school gave out 109 bachelor's degrees in general studies, liberal arts and sciences, and other humanities, followed by 100 bachelor's degrees in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies and 59 bachelor's degrees in fine and studio arts management.

The college enrolled 4,234 students for 2017-18, including 4,134 in undergraduate programs and 100 in graduate programs.
