Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins announced the Spring 2025 Hudson Valley Restaurant Week, which is set to run from March 31 to April 13, 2025. This year, Tarrytown is making its debut as a host for this event. Over 70 restaurants across Westchester will participate, offering diners the opportunity to enjoy dishes crafted with local ingredients.
Jenkins highlighted the event's role in showcasing the region's culinary creativity and supporting local businesses. "Hudson Valley Restaurant Week is a favorite event here in Westchester. It’s a time when our vibrant culinary scene comes alive with creativity, community and flavor," Jenkins stated. He encouraged everyone to make reservations and explore the diverse offerings.
Natasha Caputo, Director of Westchester County Tourism & Film, emphasized the appeal of the event: "Spring is such a wonderful time to explore Westchester’s attractions and experience a delicious meal." She described The Sailhouse as a prime example of the dining experiences available, noting its local ingredients and scenic location.
The opening event at The Sailhouse in Tarrytown included samples of signature dishes. Guests later toured the Tarrytown Lighthouse in Sleepy Hollow, a recently restored landmark. Kathy O’Connor, Commissioner of Westchester County Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation, noted the lighthouse's popularity as a tourist attraction since its restoration.
Colleen Cingel, partner at The Sailhouse, expressed enthusiasm for hosting the kick-off event for the first time. "This celebration is a great way to highlight Westchester’s culinary talent and support local businesses," Cingel remarked.
Lauren Buerger, Associate Publisher at Hudson Valley Magazine and Hudson Valley Table, pointed out the growth in participation this year, saying, "We’re excited to have a number of new restaurants joining us this year, making our Spring Hudson Valley Restaurant Week bigger and better than ever."
During restaurant week, prix-fixe menus will range from $24.95 to $44.95, offering various dining options for both lunch and dinner, available for dine-in and takeout. Newcomers such as Inca & Gaucho in White Plains and Olibar Peruvian Cuisine in New Rochelle will be among the featured restaurants.
