65 percent of applicants to SUNY at Purchase College were admitted for fall 2018

At SUNY at Purchase College, 90 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 58 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Purchase enrolled 4,234 students in fall 2018, including 4,134 in undergraduate and 100 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.8 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

85 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 14 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (52 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (24 percent).

The school admitted 65 percent of the 4,944 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 28 percent enrolled.
