"As Hanukkah begins, Jewish families and friends across our County will come together to celebrate the story of courage and faith passed down through generations," said County Executive George Latimer. He highlighted that the Festival of Lights is a reminder of the importance of standing up for one's beliefs, embracing hope, and honoring traditions that bring people closer together.

Latimer emphasized the values associated with Hanukkah, stating, "Hanukkah’s lessons of Jewish resilience and the enduring light of hope are values that inspire all of us." He extended his wishes to Westchester's Jewish community: "To all of the members of Westchester’s Jewish community, may this Hanukkah bring light, love and happiness to your homes."
