Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins is reinforcing his administration's focus on affordable housing. Upon taking office, Jenkins signed the Land Acquisition Act, which allocates $10 million for property purchases in downtown White Plains. This initiative aims to develop 108 affordable homeownership units and 89 parking spaces, enhancing access to housing for first-time buyers.

"This was one of my first acts as County Executive, and it underscores my administration’s commitment to expanding fair and affordable housing opportunities across Westchester," said Jenkins.

The investment aligns with Westchester County's strategy to address housing needs and provide stability for families looking to establish their futures within the county.

Jenkins added, "Every member of our community should have the right to make a home here, and housing needs to be available at a price point that all people can afford. This initiative is a major step toward fulfilling that mission."
