County Executive Ken Jenkins has released a statement in recognition of Women's History Month. Jenkins emphasized the importance of celebrating the contributions women have made to the community and outlined ongoing efforts to promote gender equality in Westchester County.
"Women's History Month is an opportunity to celebrate the resilience, strength and achievements of women who have shaped our community," said Jenkins. He highlighted that Westchester County is committed not only to recognizing past progress but also to creating new opportunities for women in leadership roles, business sectors, and public service.
Jenkins acknowledged the pivotal role women play across various fields, stating, "From our boardrooms to our classrooms, women continue to drive change and inspire future generations." He reaffirmed his administration's dedication to implementing policies that support women's advancement.
