Westchester County closes beaches due to sewage discharge in Larchmont

The Westchester County Health Department has announced the closure of several beaches due to an ongoing sewage discharge from the Westchester County Department of Environmental Facilities (DEF) Beach Avenue Pump Station in the Village of Larchmont.

Residents and visitors are advised to avoid contact with the water in the immediate area until further notice. Updates on beach closures and reopening schedules can be found on the Westchester County website. The County remains committed to maintaining high standards of environmental health and safety across its recreational facilities.
