New Rochelle High School had the highest enrollment among Westchester County schools, welcoming 3,084 students during the 2022-23 academic year, according to the New York State Education Department.

Data also showed that most of the students were Hispanic, representing 51.9% of the New Rochelle High School's total enrollment.

Among the 248 schools in Westchester County, White Plains Senior High School ranked second in enrollment numbers with 2,219 students, while Mamaroneck High School welcomed 1,661 students and came in third in the 2022-23 school year.

New Rochelle High School is part of New Rochelle City School District, which roughly covers seven schools within Westchester County and has a main office in Bedford.

In the previous school year, New Rochelle High School also had the highest number of students among Westchester County schools.

In 2022, New York had roughly one teacher for every 12 students, which is lower than the national average of one teacher for every 16 students. A lower student-to-teacher ratio has been found to improve students' school performance.
