Children’s Fishing Derby Set for June

Get ready to cast your line and catch some fish at New Rochelle Parks and Recreation's Annual Children's Fishing Derby! The event will be held at Twin Lakes of Huguenot Parks (in front of New Rochelle High School) on Saturday, June 3rd, 2023 from 9am-11:30am. The free event is geared towards students in grades K-8th. 

Participants must bring their own fishing rod, reel, bait and hook. A limited supply of fishing bait will be available on-site, as well as refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for the biggest, smallest and weirdest fish.  

The event is sponsored by New Rochelle Lion’s Club, Dan Carello Realty, Belsamo Provisions, New Rochelle Truck Repair, Top Drawer Cabinetry, VFW New Rochelle, VFW Post 439, Precision Construction & Fuller Center for Housing, Jim Lasser, Peter Parente, and American Legion Post 8.
