Westchester County has unveiled a new logo, marking a significant update in its visual identity after more than two decades. This change comes as the county transitions its webpage from a ".com" domain to a ".gov," making the previous logo, which included the old website address, outdated.
The newly designed logo aims to represent Westchester County's community connections and its commitment to innovation, natural beauty, and shared progress. County Executive George Latimer stated, "The residents of Westchester County are linked. This connection is symbolized by the hook that seamlessly joins the C and H in our logo. We’re linked by rail, road, and air. By culture. And most importantly, by choice."
Colors for the new logo were selected to embody the county's rich history and diverse character, creating a design that balances boldness with harmony.
Communications Director Catherine Cioffi commented on the significance of the redesign: "This new logo is more than a fresh design—it’s a celebration of who we are as a community. It reflects Westchester County’s identity as a place of connection, innovation and unity."
The county collaborated with Joy Riot for the creation of this logo as part of a broader rebranding effort. Residents will notice the new logo appearing on various platforms such as websites, signage, and communication materials over the next few months.
