Graduates earn 485 degrees, certificates from New York Medical College

About 88 percent of the 485 degrees and certificates handed out by New York Medical College in 2017-18 were to students in health professions and related programs, making them the most popular programs that year, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The agency's National Center for Education Statistics shows the private not-for-profit institution in Valhalla conferred 253 doctor's degrees and 111 master's degrees in health professions and related programs.

But the single most popular program was for a doctor's degree in medicine. Data shows the school gave out 210 doctor's degrees in medicine, followed by 42 master's degrees in health/health care administration/management and 40 doctor's degrees in physical therapy/therapist.

The college enrolled 1,462 students for 2017-18, all of whom were enrolled in 1462 programs.
