35 percent of applicants to Southern Westchester BOCES-Practical Nursing Program were admitted for fall 2018

At Southern Westchester BOCES-Practical Nursing Program, 91 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 86 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The public school in Harrison enrolled 106 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. No undergraduates were transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 2 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (44 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (21 percent).

The school admitted 35 percent of the 237 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 77 percent enrolled.
