County Executive Ken Jenkins has released a statement in recognition of Eid al-Fitr, the Islamic holiday marking the end of Ramadan. In his remarks, he acknowledged the dedication of the Westchester residents who "have spent the past month engaged in prayer, fasting and acts of charity."

Jenkins emphasized that Eid is not only a time for celebration but also "a reflection of the enduring values of faith, resilience and generosity." He highlighted the holiday's message of unity and the importance of supporting each other, particularly during challenging times. "To everyone celebrating, I wish you a blessed Eid filled with peace, gratitude and joy. Eid Mubarak," Jenkins said.

Eid al-Fitr is a significant occasion for Muslims worldwide, bringing communities together in prayer and festivity after a month of fasting and spiritual reflection during Ramadan.
