83 percent of applicants to The College of New Rochelle were admitted for fall 2018

At The College of New Rochelle, 68 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 83 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in New Rochelle enrolled 2,853 students in fall 2018, including 2,305 in undergraduate and 548 in graduate programs, data shows. 9.2 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

87 percent of undergraduates are residents of New York, and 12 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Black or African American (50 percent) and Hispanic or Latino (26 percent).

The school admitted 83 percent of the 1,501 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 26 percent enrolled.
