Westchester County issued the following announcement on May 15.
County Executive George Latimer joined Yorktown Town Supervisor Matt Slater, Legislator Vedat Gashi and other Yorktown officials to distribute masks at the Jefferson Valley Mall.
Latimer said: “We’re working together between the County and the Town, and with the help of the State, to deliver on the ground things that will help people – help them socially distance, help them stop the spread.”
These mask distributions are part of a County-wide effort with Latimer previously making numerous deliveries of masks all throughout Westchester.
