The Mount Vernon Recreation Department is inviting young athletes to participate in its instructional volleyball program. The initiative is designed for girls and boys aged 8-14, offering an opportunity to learn and improve their volleyball skills.

Running from November 18th through December 23rd, the sessions will be held every Monday and Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at the Doles Center Gymnasium. Participants will engage in drills focusing on passing, setting, hitting, and serving under the guidance of experienced coaches.

"The goal of this program is to introduce young players to the fundamentals of volleyball in a fun and engaging way," stated a spokesperson for the department. "We want to provide a platform where children can develop both their skills and their love for the game."

Registration for the program is now open. Interested parties are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible due to limited space availability.

For more information or to register, individuals can contact the Mount Vernon Recreation Department at 914-665-2300.
