The Westchester County Health Department has cleared the Mohegan Colony Association and Mohegan Beach Park District, both on Mohegan Lake, to reopen. This decision follows water testing that confirmed the harmful algae bloom had completely cleared from the swim areas.

These are the only county-regulated beaches on Mohegan Lake. Residents and visitors are encouraged to visit the Westchester County website for the latest updates on beach closures and reopening schedules. The county remains committed to maintaining high standards of environmental health and safety across its recreational facilities.
