Westchester County Executive George Latimer has announced the return of fare-free rides on the Bee-Line Bus system for the summer of 2024. From July 1 through September 2, all Bee-Line buses, including ParaTransit services, will operate without fares. Regular fares will resume on September 3.

This initiative aims to support local communities by easing transportation costs for families and encouraging the use of public transit. The fare-free period coincides with increased summer travel and numerous events across the county, offering residents and visitors a cost-effective transportation option.

"We are excited to bring back free rides on the Bee-Line buses this summer," Latimer stated. "This initiative not only helps our residents save money but also promotes the use of public transportation, reducing traffic congestion and lowering our carbon footprint. We encourage everyone to take advantage of this opportunity and explore all that Westchester County has to offer."

For additional information about the fare-free Bee-Line bus initiative, including schedules and routes, visit the Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation website at www.westchestergov.com/beeline or contact Bee-Line customer service at (914) 813-7777.
