Every Saturday from end of May to end of September - Experience the Best of Music, Food, and Community at New Rochelle's newest Downtown Event

Kick-off ceremony on Friday, May 26th at 3:30 PM, followed by a performance from The Full Count Big Band

The City of New Rochelle is thrilled to announce the launch of its first annual "Downtown Summer Sizzle" Concert Series, an exciting weekly festival that is sure to bring fresh energy, matched with new and classic sounds, featuring exciting and memorable highlights brought right to the heart of the community. The programming will commence on the evening of May 27th and continue every Saturday through September 30th. Residents and visitors – of all ages - are invited and encouraged to join us in Ruby Dee Park at Library Green for an unforgettable summer filled with music, food, arts, and community connection.

The "Downtown Summer Sizzle" Concert Series boasts an impressive lineup of over 50 performers, offering diverse musical talents to cater to all generations and tastes. From beloved generational acts performed by exceptional cover bands to original music from our very own local bands and acts, the series promises to deliver an outstanding experience for all attendees. Concertgoers can expect an array of tribute acts paying homage to some of music's biggest names, enjoying globally renowned and recognized hits from salsa legend Tito Puente Jr, top-tier cover acts like Ayanna’s ‘Tribute to Whitney, Aretha, Mariah, Adele’ and Roots Foundation’s ‘Tribute to Bob Marley,’ plus much more.

In addition to the musical performances, each Saturday will feature food trucks on Lawton Street to complement the takeout and dine in options at nearby downtown restaurants. A series of special signature events, such as Pride in June and Bastille Day in July, will offer afternoon festivities where attendees can enjoy local food trucks, craft tents, and engaging activities for the whole family. On these activation days, the "Mobile City Hall" initiative will offer residents easy access to information about City programs and services on-the-spot. Additional activation dates are Hispanic Heritage on September 23rd, and a Jazz Festival on September 30th.

The "Downtown Summer Sizzle" Concert Series is part of the City's broader plan to enhance cultural experiences throughout downtown New Rochelle. To ensure a memorable event, the City of New Rochelle has partnered with multimedia consultant 'PMG 97' to organize the concert series and curate an exceptional lineup of performances.

The kick-off ceremony for the "Downtown Summer Sizzle" Concert Series will take place on Friday, May 26th, starting at 4:00 PM with a captivating performance from The Full Count Big Band, bringing all-American standards to Memorial Weekend.
