County Executive George Latimer has issued a statement on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah, highlighting the significance of this Jewish New Year. In his message, Latimer noted that "Rosh Hashanah marks the beginning of the Jewish New Year, a time for celebration, reflection and renewal." He emphasized the importance of prayer, good deeds, and making amends during this period.

Latimer encouraged residents across Westchester to observe these traditions, stating: "As residents all across Westchester gather to observe Rosh Hashanah, we must remember that it is a time for prayer, good deeds, reflecting on past mistakes and making amends with others."
