The rescheduled St. Patrick's Day Parade is finally set to take place tomorrow, April 6, 2024, and with it comes a series of road closures and parking restrictions in the area.
According to the announcement, several roads will be closed to vehicular traffic starting at approximately 11:30 am until 6:00 pm. These closures include McLean Avenue from Bronx River Road to Central Park Avenue, Kimball Avenue in both directions at McLean Avenue, Aqueduct Avenue, Harding Avenue, several avenues between McLean Avenue and Scott Avenue, St Barnabas Place, Martha Avenue, and E242nd Street.
In addition to the road closures, there will be no parking allowed on various roads in the area between 8:00 am and 6:00 pm on the day of the parade. These restrictions cover areas such as the sides of McLean Ave, both sides of Aqueduct Ave and Harding Ave, Kimball Ave, Martha Ave, Hyatt Ave, and First St.
To ensure a smooth experience for attendees, the organizers urge everyone to pay attention to the posted signage in the vicinity. They also emphasize the importance of traveling and celebrating safely. As the event approaches, the message remains clear: "When in doubt, refer to the signage that has been posted in the area.
