Westchester County Executive George Latimer expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming 56th Annual Salute to Seniors event, stating, “I am excited that our annual Salute to Seniors event is returning to the Westchester County Center.” The event, scheduled for Thursday, May 30, 2024, from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm, aims to provide a platform for businesses and non-profit organizations to showcase their products and services to over 2,000 seniors in the county.

Commissioner Mae Carpenter from the Westchester County Department of Senior Programs and Services highlighted the importance of the event, saying, “Our Salute to Seniors event is an opportunity to celebrate our seniors throughout the county while providing an environment of fun for them to explore aging.” This year's theme, "Powered by Connections," focuses on connecting seniors with available programs and resources to help them thrive and maintain their quality of life.

The event will offer attendees the chance to interact with various companies and organizations, including recreational groups, health care facilities, government offices, wellness activities, financial providers, and more. In addition to exhibitors, there will be demonstrations, workshops, and live entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

Exhibitor and sponsorship opportunities for the event can be found online at https://westchesterpartnership.org/salute-to-seniors/. Those interested in participating are encouraged to submit their applications by Wednesday, May 1, 2024, to reserve a booth. The 56th Annual Salute to Seniors event is sponsored by various organizations, including the Westchester County Senior Programs and Services, Westchester County Parks, Recreation and Conservation, Westchester County Department of Public Works and Transportation, and The Westchester Public/Private Partnership for Aging Services. Special thanks were extended to New York Presbyterian, the Annual Partner Sponsor for this year's event.
