City of New Rochelle issued the following announcement on Aug. 28.

On Wednesday, August 26, The Home Depot Foundation partnered up with Mayor Noam Bramson, City Manager Chuck Strome and The City of New Rochelle to distribute 100 hygiene kits to support local nonprofits, in light of the ongoing pandemic. The two organizations packaged critical supplies including an assortment of cleaning products, sanitizers and more. These kits have been allocated to nonprofit organizations throughout the community, and will ultimately serve families and residents across the New Rochelle area.

"Not-for-profit organizations have played a vital role in sustaining the people of New Rochelle throughout the COVID crisis, so I am grateful for Home Depot’s generous act of corporate citizenship and for the valuable material support they are donating to our community’s essential service providers,” stated Mayor of New Rochelle, Noam Bramson

“Giving back and doing the right thing are two of the core values at The Home Depot,” expressed John Mclean, New Rochelle’s Home Depot store manager. “We’re grateful for Mayor Bramson’s encouraging support and we’re proud to work alongside the city to provide essential supplies for our community, during this time.”

This project was part of The Home Depot Foundation’s commitment to supporting local communities. During this global pandemic, the organization has contributed more than $50 million and taken other steps to support the communities it serves. The Home Depot also donated millions of dollars in personal protective equipment (PPE) and other products to hospitals, health care providers and first responders.
