The Westchester County Youth Bureau and Youth Board are inviting nominations for the 2025 Rosemarie Siragusa Memorial Youth Service Award. This accolade honors adults in Westchester County who have shown exceptional commitment to children, youth, and families through volunteer efforts.

Since its inception in 2012, the award has been given annually in memory of Rosemarie Siragusa, the founder and first chair of the Westchester County Youth Board. It is awarded to up to three adult advocates who reflect her dedication and work.

Nominations are open until August 8, 2025, at 5 p.m., with submissions available online. The awards ceremony will take place on September 17, 2025, at the Michaelian Office Building in White Plains.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins stated: “We are so fortunate that here in Westchester, residents from all walks of life devote their time and efforts towards a better quality of life for our families and young people. Identifying and honoring these individuals is what this award is all about. For the past 13 years, we have taken this important opportunity to recognize a small number of these special residents. I encourage everyone to look to their friends and neighbors for candidates and help us find a select few who would make Rosemarie Siragusa proud.”

Ernest McFadden, Executive Director of the Westchester County Youth Bureau, noted: “The Rosemarie Siragusa Memorial Youth Service Award has been a longstanding tradition for the Westchester County Youth Bureau. It was born out of the spirit that in every act of service, there is a spark that lights the way for our young people to thrive. This award honors those whose selfless dedication uplifts the next generation and strengthens the heart of our community.”

Dr. Alexandria Connally, Chairperson of the Westchester County Youth Board said: “Rosemarie Siragusa dedicated her life to improving the quality of life for youth in Westchester County. Please help us identify the change makers and unsung heroes who embody the spirit of Rosemarie Siragusa and her transformative work for this award.”
