County Executive Ken Jenkins and the Department of Emergency Services are closely monitoring severe weather conditions in Westchester County. A Flash Flood Warning and Flood Watch remain in effect, prompting caution among residents. Governor Kathy Hochul has expressed her support for recovery efforts in the area. Jenkins is coordinating with Jackie Bray, Commissioner of the New York State Division of Homeland Security, as well as local municipalities to provide necessary assistance.

Residents are advised to avoid travel unless evacuating a flood-prone area or under an evacuation order. Heavy rain and flooding are expected to persist into the evening.

The Bronx River Parkway remains closed in both directions but is anticipated to reopen by morning. The Saw Mill River Parkway is shut northbound due to a downed tree north of Bedford Road. Numerous vehicles have been submerged, leading to ongoing water rescues.

Westchester County Airport Terminal is operational, with flights resuming; travelers should confirm details with their airlines. Bee-Line Bus Service is being restored in southern Westchester.
