On National First Responders Day, Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins released a statement acknowledging the contributions of first responders in the community.

“On National First Responders Day, we come together as one community to honor and express our deepest gratitude to the brave men and women who answer the call in the darkest of hours. To our law enforcement officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, emergency dispatchers, and all law enforcement professionals — your courage, sacrifice and unwavering commitment keep Westchester County safe and secure.

“To every first responder in Westchester County – we thank you for your presence, your professionalism, and the many unseen moments when you sacrifice for the rest of us. On this day, and throughout the year, we recognize and appreciate the vital role you play in protecting our residents and families. Thank you, for all that you do.”
