The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Westchester County. The Westchester County Department of Emergency Services (DES) is advising residents to avoid travel and stay off the roadways until conditions improve.

Severe thunderstorms, high winds, and potential flash flooding are forecasted for this evening. DES is monitoring the situation closely and is prepared to respond as needed.

The Bronx River Parkway is closed between the Westchester County Center and Main Street in White Plains. There is significant flooding on the Sprain Brook Parkway, with several roads closed around Westchester Medical Center.

Residents are encouraged to take precautions during this time.

The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until later this evening.
