On November 23, 2024, Bowman tweeted about an American man from Dallas who was killed while waiting for evacuation by the U.S. government. He also mentioned "one young American mother & her 3 small children are currently starving" and that "another young American has untreated Hepatitis A." "While waiting for the U.S. government to evacuate them, one man from Dallas was killed. One young American mother & her 3 small children are currently starving. In another tweet posted on the same day, Bowman criticized the closure of the Rafah crossing as an inadequate excuse for inaction, stating that "the U.S. has successfully advocated for American doctors & urgent medical cases to exit Gaza through the Kerem Shalom crossing."
