Patent office approves 2 patents for White Plains innovators in week ending June 27

Patent 4

There were two patents granted in White Plains in the week ending June 27, according to the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

This is one more than the week before. Patents included an apparatus, article of manufacture and methods for recommending a jewelry item.

The earliest patent filed which was granted in the week ending June 27 belonged to Haifei Li who filed in March 28, 2008.

The number of approved patents in the U.S. grew steadily from roughly 225,000 in 2009 to more than 285,000 in 2019. The number of patents approved suffered a slight downturn in 2020.

Gene Quinn with IPWatchdog said the system underneath patents have become unwieldy, specifically for medical innovations.
