Summer activities are set to expand at Playland Park with extended operating hours, the return of weekly fireworks, and new attractions for visitors.

The park will have special hours for the 4th of July holiday week. It will be open from Wednesday, July 2 through Sunday, July 6. Operating times are from noon each day until 9 p.m. on July 2, 3, and 6, and until 10 p.m. on July 4 and 5.

A fireworks display will occur on Friday, July 4 over Long Island Sound as part of Independence Day celebrations. This tradition will continue every Friday night through August 29.

Visitors can enjoy rides, entertainment such as a DJ and Coaster meet-and-greets, as well as food from stands and local food trucks. Admission is free; wristbands for all-day rides cost $15; parking costs $10. Details about available rides can be found at playlandpark.org.

Westchester County Executive Ken Jenkins stated: “Playland has been part of Westchester summers for generations. It’s a place where families come together to share laughter, make memories, and celebrate the season.”

Westchester County Parks Commissioner Kathy O’Connor added: “We’re excited to kick off Playland’s full summer schedule and welcome back the weekly fireworks display.”

Playland Beach is currently open while Playland Pool opened on June 27. Both facilities operate daily through Labor Day with hours from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., with last entry at 6 p.m., subject to applicable fees.
