A panel focused on financial empowerment will take place in Mount Vernon as part of Black History Month. The event aims to address building generational wealth, improving financial literacy, and expanding access to resources for the community.
The session is scheduled for Friday, February 27, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Doles Recreational Center located at 250 S. 6th Avenue in Mount Vernon, NY. Organizers have invited all members of the public to attend.
The Mount Vernon Financial Empowerment Center (MVFEC) will participate alongside other local organizations. Attendees can receive information about free one-on-one financial counseling, credit building and debt reduction, budgeting and savings strategies, as well as homeownership and asset-building resources.
