The City of New Rochelle Office of Human Resources announced on Mar. 24 that it will partner with the First Source Referral Center (FSRC) to hold a community job fair on Thursday, April 2, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at New Rochelle City Hall.

The event aims to connect local job seekers with employment opportunities across the public sector and local businesses. Participating employers will include the City of New Rochelle, the New Rochelle City School District, and other area organizations offering a variety of roles for attendees.

Job seekers attending the fair will be able to explore available positions, meet directly with hiring representatives, and learn more about career pathways within municipal government as well as in private industry. Michelle Oliveros, Commissioner of Human Resources for the city, said, “The City of New Rochelle is committed to building a strong, inclusive workforce that reflects and serves our community. This job fair is an opportunity to connect residents with meaningful career opportunities while strengthening the pipeline between local talent and the organizations that serve our city every day.”

Tracy Rhett, Assistant Vice President of Youth and Employment Services at Westhab—a participating organization—said, “Westhab is excited to be a part of this day. Everyone deserves access to support themselves and their family. This job fair will allow us to connect people in our community to real opportunities and help local businesses find the talent they need to thrive.”

FSRC offers free employment assistance and support service referrals for residents. Through this partnership event with FSRC, both organizations hope to expand access for residents seeking jobs while helping employers reach qualified candidates from within the community.

Applicants at all experience levels are encouraged by organizers to attend prepared with copies of their resume and ready for direct engagement with potential employers. More information about the event can be obtained by contacting either the City’s Office of Human Resources or FSRC during regular business hours.
