The New Rochelle Police Department is inviting residents to participate in National Night Out at their headquarters on 475 North Avenue, scheduled for Tuesday, August 5. The event will include equipment demonstrations, food, games, giveaways, activities for children such as bounce houses and a bubble bus, as well as music from a live DJ.
National Night Out is held annually on the first Tuesday of August. It aims to strengthen relationships between police and community members while encouraging neighborhood cooperation to improve safety.
“National Night Out is a celebration of the partnership between our department and the community we serve,” said New Rochelle Police Commissioner Neil Reynolds. “It’s an opportunity for neighbors to meet the officers behind the badge, learn more about our work, and see community policing in action. Building relationships, fostering trust, and working with residents are the foundations of Community policing and a safer, stronger City.”
