County Executive Ken Jenkins has issued a statement on the observance of Passover. In his message, Jenkins emphasized the holiday’s significance in promoting values such as freedom, dignity, and hope.

“The story of Passover speaks to the human desire for freedom, dignity and hope. It is a time for families to come together around the seder table, share tradition, and reflect on the journey from hardship to liberation,” Jenkins noted. He encouraged the community to “remember the importance of standing up for those who are oppressed and are struggling the most.”

He concluded his statement with well-wishes for the Jewish families in Westchester County, saying, “May this Passover celebration bring peace and warm memories to the Jewish families throughout Westchester County. Chag Pesach Sameach.”
