County Executive Ken Jenkins issued a statement just ahead of Easter Sunday. In his message, Jenkins highlighted the tradition’s significance for Christians in Westchester and beyond.

“On Easter Sunday, Christians throughout Westchester and beyond will come together with family and loved ones to celebrate a sacred tradition rooted in faith, renewal and love,” Jenkins conveyed.

Jenkins emphasized the enduring messages of Easter, which include themes of resilience, light, and hope.

“The message of Easter — resilience through adversity, light after darkness and hope for the future — is one that continues to inspire,” he stated. “It reminds us of the strength we find in our communities and the importance of compassion in our daily lives.”

To conclude, Jenkins extended his well-wishes to all those observing the holiday. “To everyone celebrating, I wish you a meaningful and joyful Easter,” he expressed.
