The Village of Hastings-on-Hudson has released its January 2026 Senior Newsletter, providing information about upcoming events, services, and resources for senior residents. The newsletter, authored by Senior Advocate Anne Russak, outlines a variety of programs taking place throughout the month.

Deborah Farber-Kaiser of Cuddy and Feder LLP will lead the session. Seniors can register online or dial in by phone.
Mindfulness classes with Dr. Pat Bloom will be held on Thursdays—January 8th, February 5th, and March 12th—from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Community Center.
A New Year’s Brunch is set for Thursday, January 15 at 12:15 p.m., followed by Senior Thursday at the Library featuring a screening of “The Lion in Winter.” On this day, seniors can receive discounts at over thirty restaurants and shops in town as well as Foodtown grocery store. Free parking passes are available for the event window at both the Community Center and Library.
On January 22 at 12:15 p.m., Joseph Squillante will present a narrated voyage along the Hudson River during lunch at the Community Center. Squillante has photographed the river for fifty years.
The Senior Book Club meets on Friday, January 23 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. in the Hastings Library to discuss “The Frozen River” by Ariel Lawton; copies are available at the library’s circulation desk.
