Village offices in Hastings-on-Hudson will be closed on Monday, February 16, 2026, in observance of President’s Day. The Village Justice Court will also not be open. Residents who need to pay tickets can do so online at HTTPS://HOHNY.GOV/TICKETS.
The Department of Public Works will suspend garbage collection on President’s Day. Regular Monday pickups will occur on Tuesday, February 17, and Tuesday pickups are rescheduled for Wednesday, February 18. There is no change to the recycling schedule; paper, junk mail, and cardboard will be collected on Thursday, February 19. Commingled cans, glass, and plastics will be picked up on Friday, February 20.
The James Harmon Community Center and the Hastings-on-Hudson Public Library are both closed for the holiday as well. More information about community programs is available at https://HOHREC.FUN and library services at http://hastingslibrary.org.
Parking meters do not need to be fed on Monday as it is a meter holiday. Alternate side parking rules are suspended for the day.
Public transportation schedules are also affected by the holiday. Metro-North trains and Bee-Line buses serving Hastings-on-Hudson will operate according to their usual Saturday schedules on President’s Day.
