The Alary, a new 28-story luxury rental building, has officially opened at 33 Westchester Place in downtown New Rochelle. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Mayor Yadira Ramos-Herbert and attended by municipal officials and representatives from developer Allstate Ventures.
The Alary offers 315 residences ranging from studios to two-bedroom units, along with amenities such as a fitness center, co-working spaces, a game room, children’s playroom, and a sky lounge. The building also features a landscaped rooftop terrace on the 28th floor with views of Westchester County and Long Island Sound. Residents have access to a pool, outdoor cinema, BBQ kitchens, fire pits, dog park, and concierge services.
The opening marks the completion of Westchester Place—an arts-focused development consisting of three buildings: The Arc, The Atelier, and The Alary. Together they provide 524 new homes (including market-rate and affordable units with artist preference) and nearly 7,500 square feet of retail and creative space for local galleries and studios. A recent addition to the area is Sushi By Bou, an omakase dining venue accessible through an art gallery.
Rachel Spater, Development Manager at Allstate Ventures said: “We’d like to thank Mayor Ramos-Herbert and other municipal officials for joining us today. This event not only celebrates The Alary but also the successful collaboration between Allstate Ventures and the city to establish a vibrant arts district in downtown New Rochelle. Westchester Place has played a key role in the city’s ongoing growth and cultural renaissance, and The Alary stands as a defining new addition to the skyline.”
Mayor Yadira Ramos-Herbert stated: “As New Rochelle continues to grow, it’s essential that we welcome new developments that foster a sense of community for long-time residents and newcomers alike. The Alary does just that. This state-of-the-art development located in the heart of downtown New Rochelle, just steps from the train station, will not only add 315 new homes to our city but also make meaningful contributions to our vibrant arts district. I’m so appreciative of Allstate Ventures for opening their third residence in New Rochelle, marking the completion of Westchester Place. Together with The Arc and The Atelier, The Alary offers premier housing, top-tier amenities, coveted retail space, and arts programming for our community members to enjoy.”
Residences are available starting at $2,150 per month for studios; one-bedroom units begin at $2,850; two-bedroom apartments start at $4,100 per month. Leasing incentives include up to three months free rent and no security deposit for immediate occupancy.
