The City of New Rochelle has announced changes to its assessment calendar, which will take effect for the 2026 assessment cycle. The updated schedule sets December 1 as both the taxable status date and the deadline for exemption forms, as well as the valuation date.

On February 1, the tentative assessment roll will be released. The third Tuesday in February is designated as Grievance Day, when property owners can contest their assessments. The final assessment roll will be published on April 1.

Residents who wish to appeal must file with the County Clerk by May 1. School tax bills will be issued in two installments: the first half on September 1 and the second half on March 1 of the following year. The city tax bill is scheduled for January 1, while county tax bills are due June 1.

These adjustments are part of an effort to streamline property assessment and taxation processes within New Rochelle.
