The City of New Rochelle announced on March 25 that its Third Annual Skate @ Lincoln event will take place at Lincoln Park during spring break, beginning Saturday, March 28. The basketball courts at Lincoln Park will be converted into a roller-skating rink open daily through April 4 from noon to 5:00 PM.

The event aims to offer free recreational opportunities for residents during the school holiday. Attendees can enjoy complimentary skate rentals, refreshments, and music each day. The city said the program was previously held in mid-winter but is now scheduled for spring to encourage more outdoor community engagement.

“We’re thrilled to see the return of such a fun event that has proven to be a success time and time again,” remarked City Manager Will Melendez. “Spring break is the perfect time for the community to come together outdoors. We’re very excited to welcome everyone back to Lincoln Park.”

District 3 Council Member David Peters, who introduced the Skate @ Lincoln proposal in 2023, said, “We’re excited to welcome everyone back to Skate at Lincoln to enjoy with friends and loved ones this spring break! We hope you’re ready for another exciting week of skating here at Lincoln Park.”

Throughout the year, New Rochelle offers various public programs including festivals and concerts aimed at fostering community identity and celebrating diversity. Updates about rink hours or weather-related closures will be posted on the city’s social media channels.
